Rule Changes

July 30 , 2019

* Added 2 rules

1.6 All rules will be created\modified and\or deleted by the acting Tournament Director.
1.7 The CDPL adheres to the "Poker Tournament Director Association Rules 2017 Rules, Version 3, Oct 24, 2017" when not defined by league rules.

* Removed sectipon 7.6 because it's understood or up to the players to decide.
7.6. Chops. If you chop a pot, then the person with the most chips will be awarded 1st place. If there's more than 2 people chopping the pot, then the same rule will apply...most chips - 1st, 2nd most chips - 2nd, and so on.

* Removed section 2 concerning Board because there is no longer a board.
2. The Board
2.1 Board Members are responsible for voting on all rules and incorporating them into the league.
2.2 No changes to rules will happen during the season.
2.3 Board Members will vote on all proposed rules, sometime after the October tournaments, and before Jan 1st.
2.4 Any person can propose a rule change, and board must vote on it.
2.5 No proposal that has been voted on, and denied, can be voted on again for
2 seasons.
2.6 Each tournament will have a Floor Person designated to resolve in-tournament issues. The Board will rotate this responsibility monthly. The Floor Person will have final say in all resolutions.

February 13 , 2018

* Removed following rules:

4.3. The small blind is posted by the player immediately to the left of the dealer. The big blind is posted by the player two seats to the left of the dealer.
5.1. If a Player does not have enough chips to call a bet or place a blind, that player can go  ALL-IN. If this occurs, the other players with chips left will continue the hand and bet into a side pot.

Added following rule:

8.9 If a player leaves early, their chips will be blinded down as if they were there and folding each hand. If the player is not at their seat when it's their turn to act, their cards will be thrown into the muck, even if their hand is in the blinds. This does not include someone in the same room...only those that are not in the room at the time action is on him.

January 31 , 2014

* Removed last 2 blind levels (750-1500, and 1000-2000)

* All blinds are now 15 mins (10 min blinds had started at 100-200)

* Switched from Home Poker Tournament Rules, to TDA Poker Rules as our league's governing rules, when no league rule is in place.

* Added 2.6

* Change Rule 1.2.
"Players will all start with 475 in chips (5-5’s, 5-10’s, 8-25’s, 2-100’s)"

* Change Rule 1.5 to say "...the first 3 games" instead of "...the first 4 games"

* Changed rule 7.1 to say “…8 players.” instead of "10 players"

* Remove following lines from rules…
2.2 A notice of at least 1 month must be given so that all players have time to adjust their schedule. 2.3 If 1 month's notice can't be given, it must be approved by the board.

* Change to Rule 4.1 to add a Level 12, 750-1500 and move the current Level 12, 1000-2000 down to Level 13.

* Added rule 8.8
8.8 Defining "Late Arrival".
If someone calls on the phone and states they will be there soon, and someone pays for them, they will be allowed to sit down and play and will not get docked chips. The "late" player would have to get to the tournament during the first blind level or be docked 120 chips. if the “late” player does not show up when the 3rd set of blinds has begun, the chips left will be eliminated from play, you'll receive a last place finish, and your $$ will not be refunded. The player paying for you will be responsible for getting the money from the “late” player.

Changed Rule 2

2.1. All league nights will be voted upon by all who meet the voting criteria listed in Rule 2.3. Highest number of votes determines the night we will be playing. Players are urged to vote on all nights they can make it to play.
2.2. Regular Season League nights will all be played on Saturdays, and start at 3pm.

2.3. In order to vote as to which night we will be having our tournaments, you must have played in at least 30% of the games in the current or previous season (in a full season, 30% = 12 buy-ins)

2.1 All tournaments will be selected by the person(s) hosting the tournaments.
2.2 A notice of at least 1 month must be given so that all players have time to adjust their schedule.
2.3 If 1 month's notice can't be given, it must be approved by the board.

Added Rule 8.7
8.7 Late Arrivals. People showing up late will get the following penalty.
* If they arrive during the 1st set of blinds, they lose $60 in chips (4x the small+big blinds).
* If they arrive during the 2nd set of blinds, they lose $120 in chips (4x the small+big blinds).
* If they arrive after the 2nd set of blinds, they will not be allowed entry into the tournament.
* Players coming in will assume last spot on the table (i.e. if there's 6 people, he will take spot 7).

Changed Rule 6.1
To:
6.1 Exposing Dealt Cards. If the first card is dealt face up, this will be considered a misdeal and the same dealer will re-shuffle and re-deal. If any other card is dealt face up, it will be retrieved and used as the burn card, and the player will be dealt another card after all other players have been dealt theirs. If two cards are flipped up, it will be considered a misdeal.

Added Rule 10.6
10.6 The Nuts Championship Fee - $20 will be collected from each player (including any alternates that make it into the game) to cover the costs of the prizes. The remaining money will be added to The Nuts Championship prize pool.

Added Rule 10.7
10.7 Any qualified player not present when the game has started (at the agreed upon time) will be replaced by an alternate. That alternate will take the absentee’s position at the table but will use his own chip stack as determined by 10.5.

Added following section to 10.3. Chip Stack.
* Every player qualifying for The Nuts Championship will get 100 chips added to their stack for each win they achieved during the regular season.

Changed Rule 17 to 17a and added "17b", "17c" and "17d"

17b. If a dealer exposes a burn card, the card will remain face up and as the burn card, and play will continue.

17c. If dealer exposes more than one card, and there is confusion as to which card is the actual board card (flop, turn, river) and which card is the burn card, then all cards in question will be placed back in the deck, reshuffled, re-cut, and then the dealer will continue where it was interrupted.

17d. If the dealer exposes too many cards while showing a board card (flop, turn, river), the cards following the board card(s) will be placed back in the deck, re-shuffled, and re-cut, and play will continue. (i.e. during the turn, the river's burn card is exposed).

Scoring Points
Item 28 - changed to reflect which player gets the "Hit" when the pot is split, and a person is busted out. The Hit will go to the player with the most chips at the time of the hit. Previously no rule in place specifically for this.
